Assainissement viral du Maracujà colombien

Urcuqui S., Caruana M.L.. 1996. In : Fargette Denis (ed.). LPRC. Rapport d'activités 1994-1995. Montpellier : CIRAD, p. 17-19.

Two complementary studies were carried on to improve the development of the passion fruit culture: one concerned an optimization of technics for in vitro micropropagation, the other on the viral sanitation aspects. In order to optimize the cutting-micropropagation of the passion fruit several hormonal combinations were tested. Two viruses, a potyvirus and a tymovirus, were identified as responsible for high damage of the passion fruit production in Colombia. Specific antisera were developed to detect them by ELISA, ISEM and Direct Tissue Blot Immunoassay (DTBIA). Neither the cutting-micropropagation nor the meristem culture eliminated theses viruses. Several approaches based on in vitro culture associated with thermotherapy treatments were selected
