This report presents the outcomes of various field studies developed in various thematic areas during the first and third work package of the Negowat project. The report is organized in two main volume: one for the outcomes of the studies developed in the periurban catchment of the Metropolitan Region of Sao Paulo in Brazil. The second volume presents the outcomes of the project in the periurban area of Tiquipaya in the Metropolitan region of Cochabamba, Bolivia. Each volume is organized in 5 main sections. The section "Context presentation" is presenting the geographic context of the periurban area; The section "Stakeholders and discussion platform" presents the main stakeholders involved in land and water management and the functioning of existing discussion and negotiation institution; The section "Land market dynamics" analyses the functioning of land market in the areas studied; The section "Urban Water services" discusses the access to potable water and sanitation of the population in the area studied; The section "Rural Dynamics" presents the agricultural and related rural activities, its dynamics and consequences on land and water uses; The section " Hydrological dynamics" discusses the functioning of the catchment studied in term of quantity and /or quality; The section "Conceptual Framework" proposes a way to articulate this different elements.
