Roles played by services and knowledge's networks in practices evolutions of dairy supply chain's stakeholders in Egypt; proposal for a methodological extension of social life cycle assessment framework

Daburon A.. 2015. Paris : Ecole doctorale ABIES, 1 p.. Journées ABIES 2015 : Biologie de synthèse, systèmes alimentaires durables, 2015-04-14/2015-04-15, Paris (France).

In Egypt, increasing and evolving demand drive many mutations in the milk supply chain. Irrigated family farming systems, integrating crop and livestock productions, are major dairy suppliers for the country, but they remain on the margin of agricultural development. Nevertheless, those producers are rapidly evolving in their practices following supply chain's evolutions. This raises the question of mechanisms involved in those practices evolutions and more specifically, contributions of services and knowledge networks. After describing those farming systems in two contrasted areas, we will detail the milk supply chain related to one of them. A detailed analysis of the roles played by social network, in their historical, structural and governance dimensions, using the netchain analytical framework, will be applied. This approach will help us ultimately to extend the methodology of social life cycle analysis to this artisanal sector. (Texte intégral)
