Fast growing Eucalypsus tree if emerging as one of the best source of lignocellulosic biomass worldwide. However, water and mineral nutrition availability, particularly potassium, decrease severely wood biomass production. In this context of climate change, plantations are facing more frequent drought events and potassium resources are limited. This highlights the necessity to develop more sustainable cultural practices based on a better understanding of plant response to water stress in interaction with mineral nutrition.
