The growth of agriculture and its ability to feed growing populations rests on land and labour productivities. We estimated these partial productivities in food kilocalories for most countries of the world, and discussed their evolution over the past 40 years. Very contrasted productivity paths are shown between the 6 macro-regions of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.
