La Réunion is a small volcanic island in the South-Western Indian Ocean. It shows a huge ecological gradient. Weeds are a major constraint for crops, pasture and natural environment. The weed flora is highly related to the ecosystem, but some species can spread from an ecosystem to an other. Weed management have to managed according to a global strategy at the island scale and not only at the field scale.
