Composición florística y uso forrajero de arvenses que crecen en áreas citrícolas de ciego de ávila, Cuba

In order to: (1) identify herbaceous plants citrus plantations were developed in Citrus Company of Ciego de Avila, taxonomically classifying, and (2) to identify, from the literature, some of their biological characteristics and its spectrum agricultural use, especially suitable for feeding animals that are integrated into the system, were sampled that included 10% of the fields dedicated to orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) and grapefruit (Citrus paradisi Macf) taking into account the geographical distribution in its four corners. The determination of the species in each field was made by visual inspection, following a zigzag path, the not identified in the field herborizaron for further identification. The research results support the conclusion that in the studied citrus grow 61 plant species grouped into 19 families and 48 genera, of which 74% belong to the class and the rest Magnoliatae the Liliatae. Fabaceae and Poaceae families are over-represented in both classes, with 11 and 14 species respectively, many of which are perennials that spread by seed, and taken pastures consist mostly of livestock systems of Cuba and other tropical regions.
