Rousset P.. 2016. Bangkok : HRPP, 1 p.. HRPP Annual Seminar 2016. 7, 2016-11-15/2016-11-17, Bangkok (Thaïlande).
Even with advanced rubber production technologies, factories and collecting points are experiencing serious odor problems that negatively affect the public's perception of the rubber industry. There are many complaints about this issue by neighborhoods surrounding rubber plants especially in Northern Thailand where the smell is reported to be 5 times worse than anywhere else. This project aims to guide the rubber industry in its future research on odor management/reduction using low cost activated carbon. This work will focus on farmers managing collecting points where odor emission is poorly controlled and managed, and where nuisances are considered to be the responsibility of rubber industrial groups.
