Camel calf diarrhoea in Riyadh region, Saudi Arabia

Camel calf diarrhoeic disease results from complex infectious agents. In the present study, 33 calves presenting diarrhoea were sampled for Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Coronavirus and Rotavirus. The prevalence rates were 15.1%, 9%, 6% and 6%, respectively. The prevalence of diarrhoea was found to be 8.1% in calves' less than 3 months. This is the first report of Cryptosporidium and Coronavirus of Saudi camels.
