In sub-Saharan Africa, the political and development aid spheres are looking for new models of agricultural production that are capable of feeding the population and addressing environmental challenges at the same time (HLPE in Agroecological and other innovative approaches for sustainable agriculture and food systems that enhance food security and nutrition, 162 p, 2019). Civil society is also engaged in this search through the voices of producer organisations and NGOs (Coordination Sud in Les Notes de Sud, 19, 4 p, 2019).
