We propose to share with the community the progress of our ongoing project named ODACE (2021-2024). ODACE aims to develop a tool to help stakeholders in reducing the use of phytosanitary products in orchards. We are developing a modeling approach that allows a better understanding of the interactions between plants and pests and their management by practices and planned biodiversity, including service plants that are still underused. The tool, using fruit crop models QauliTree and Vmango and inspired by the formalism of the IPSIM damage model, aims to explicitly take into account the effects of several alternative levers to pesticides on multiple pest damage, and the impacts of this damage on fruit production. These alternatives are evaluated on several criteria : ecosystem services, environmental impact indicators, socio-economic performance, and health risks. We are considering several stakeholder's profiles with contrasting preferences and using simualtion to identify and archive a large number of solutions suitable for each stakeholder profile. Multi-criteria decision support and preference elicitation methods are implemented to learn the stakeholders reasoning. At the end, the tool will allow to test in silico most suitable scenarios for users (organic, zero pesticides, integrated) and to evaluate their social acceptability. To test the generality of the approach, the tool will be developed for apple and peach and initiated on mango.
